What customers consistently agree on

Across thousands of reviews the same four things come up, in roughly the same order, from people whose days look nothing alike — a ward nurse in Dublin, a warehouse picker in Texas, a teacher in Lagos.

• The band doesn't dig in. Far and away the most repeated comment. The wide comfort strap spreads its grip instead of biting, and it's the reason people are still wearing them in week six rather than leaving them in a drawer. "No more red marks" — Rachel M., Leeds.
• Legs feel lighter by the end of a shift. Nurses, teachers, hospitality staff, chefs and warehouse workers describe the same thing: the 3 p.m. concrete feeling doesn't arrive. "I've stopped taking painkillers before service" — Greg S., Sheffield.

What customers criticise

Publishing only the good ones would tell you nothing. Here is what the two- and three-star reviews actually say, and what we've done about each.

• Sizing, by a mile. If you order by shoe size alone and your calf is above 16 inches, S/M will feel tighter than you expected. Measure the widest part of your calf and use the size finder; if the fit is wrong, exchanges are free under the 30-day guarantee.
• The first two days feel firm. Expected if you're stepping up from 15–20 mmHg drugstore socks to true 20–30 mmHg. Reviewers who push through describe forgetting they're wearing them by day three — compression levels are explained here.
• Only one colour. Black is all we make. It's the right call for people wearing them under scrubs and work trousers, and the wrong one for people in shorts. It is the most requested change in our inbox.
• Delivery outside our core markets. A small number of orders have run past our stated 3–7 business days. Tracking now sends automatically at dispatch — full timings are on the shipping page.

Is TrueFit legit?

It's a fair question to ask of any brand you found through an ad or a search result, so here are the plain facts rather than a reassurance paragraph.

• Who we are. A direct-to-consumer brand selling one product — a 20–30 mmHg graduated compression sock — rather than a dropship storefront rotating through trends. Read the about page for the background.
• Payments. Card details are processed by Shopify Payments, a PCI-DSS Level 1 provider. We never see or store your card number, and the checkout runs over SSL.
• Shipping. Orders ship worldwide with tracking, typically 3–7 business days to the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and 7–14 days elsewhere, in USD with no surprise fees at our end.
• Refunds. One email inside 30 days gets your money back, and you keep pairs you've already worn. The full terms are on the returns page — no restocking fee, no "unworn only" clause.
• Support. A human replies to the contact form, usually the same business day.

How we collect and verify reviews

Every review here is matched to an order in our system before it's published. We don't incentivise ratings with discounts or free product, we don't remove negative feedback, and we don't buy reviews. Where a review raises a real failure — a slow delivery, a seam that went — our reply sits underneath it, publicly, with what we changed.

We deliberately don't attach star rich-snippet markup to individual quotes. Search engines are right to be sceptical of self-hosted review stars, and we'd rather you judged the reviews than a badge in a search result.

Individual results vary. Compression is a comfort and wellness product, not a treatment. If you have diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, heart failure or a diagnosed venous condition, speak to your clinician before wearing any compression garment.

What reviewers actually bought

The pattern is consistent: people who buy two pairs to test it come back for six, because compression only works on the days you actually wear it. A fresh pair each morning is the whole point of the larger packs.
